Sexiest serial killer ever?
Netflix has certainly delivered the goods with its new releases this month. We’ve had gems that have set the internet ablaze with the likes of Birdbox, You and that infamous Fyre Festival documentary. Its latest trailer for its film, ‘Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile’ has already sparked controversy. It’s been criticised on twitter for seemingly romanticising one of America’s most notorious serial killers by casting Zac Efron as Ted Bundy. Poor taste or clever marketing? Take a look and see what you think.
Who would you want AI to bring back?
The Dalí Museum in Florida will open its exhibition ‘Dalí Lives’ this spring to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the artist’s death. But, this is no ordinary showcase… an AI algorithm is being trained to learn the artist’s facial expressions and characteristics in an attempt to resurrect him as an interactive clone… surreal enough that the real Dalí would approve!
We’ve all been there… you’re in desperate need of some new creps for a big night but you just don’t have time (or mental strength) to mope around overcrowded shops trying on everything you see. Sure, you can buy online but there’s a risk that they’re going to look miserable on you when they arrive. Fear not! Belarus start-up Wannaby has developed a new app with AR technology that allows you to try before you buy wherever you are. Modern day problems require modern solutions!
The Future is Fluid.
Here at ZAK we like to bang on a lot about Gen Z – see our previous White Paper for reference ;). But it turns out other people are starting to sit up and take notice of this increasingly important demographic. English filmmaker Jade Jackman premiered his latest creation ‘The Future is Fluid’ at The Sundance Festival this week. The film is in partnership with Chime for Change, an initiative by Gucci which is part charity, part vehicle for social change. In this current crazy, catatonic, pre-Brexit world, I’m a big fan of this campaign! There’s also a nice little zine to go with it, download it here.
Did you know Cheerleading began as an all-male university sport in the 1800s? Now you do! Fast-forward to 2019 and The Super Bowl is about to see its first male cheerleaders perform alongside their female counterparts. The Los Angeles Rams take on the New England Patriots this Sunday in Atlanta and regardless of the result, history will be made.
Go vegan, win Beyonce tickets FOR LIFE!
As Veganuary comes to an end, one of the most influential women in the world is continuing to champion plant-based diets. Beyoncé released an Instagram post this week promoting The Greenprint Project — a website linked to a diet book recently published by her trainer Marco Borges. With the offer of winning a lifetime of concert tickets on the table, I doubt there’ll be a lack of sign ups.
