If you didn’t hear about Bandersnatch you must have been in the biggest Christmas dinner coma ever! I’m talking about Black Mirror’s recent film, or game or… whatever it is, which was released by Netflix on Boxing Day. Charlie Brooker surprised everyone with a clever little feature which allows viewers to make actual choices about what happens to the story. It goes from ‘Frosties or Sugar Puffs’ all the way up to things that are far more sinister. Honestly, the process was draining – what you think is a 1-hour 30 min film turns into a 3-hour looped reality and even then you have to choose to end the film. Despite the mixed reviews, it’s a must-watch purely for the creative concept and execution – watch how they made it here.

‘SNOWFLAKES’: YOUR ARMY NEEDS YOU!

They call us ‘me me me millennials’, ‘selfie addicts’ and ‘phone zombies’, but what many see as a weakness or character flaw, the British Army are calling out as strength. Their new campaign – leading with First World War, Lord Kitchener style posters – is targeting 16-25s after learning that 74% of people in that age bracket are ‘looking for a job with purpose’. WELL, THIS IS JUST BLIND STUPIDITY.

We’ve had ice buckets, we’ve had cinnamon, we’ve had God damn tide pods…but now, I present to you, the first viral challenge of 2019 – blindfolds. The ‘Birdbox challenge’ has taken the internet by storm. Inspired by the recent Netflix original where characters must live life behind a blindfolded or else they’ll die, people are actually trying it out for themselves – dumb but equally hilarious. Watch this thread and take a moment to question whether humanity is doomed?

WHO’S DOING GREGGANUARY?

All aboard the vegan train! Greggs have kicked off Veganuary with a much-anticipated vegan sausage roll. BUT, does it really live up to its meaty forefather? This review covers all, including the hilarious branding and marketing campaign that came with it. Regardless, it really annoyed Piers Morgan, so it’s a winner in my eyes.
