Gareth Southgate Gets A Tube Sign.

Football didn’t come home for England, but if you’re coming home from work and travelling to Southgate this week, you probably noticed something different. The London Underground station was temporarily named after England’s football manager. For two days, after the English team finished fourth in the World Cup, the Southgate tube was rebranded in celebration of England’s best result since 1990 when they also lost in the semi-final. Some get a statue, some get a tube sign.

'THIS IS THE TIME TO REALLY LIVE LIFE.'

Being a young female photographer in Mumbai may for some go against the norm, but that isn’t stopping Divina. For years, she has been following her passion, even if others are not taking her seriously. Her determination has taken her to New York and now Italy, but before she embarked on another professional adventure, she took her time to chat to us. One thing is for sure, she’s definitely reaching all the milestones before turning 30.

Pure GOLD-blum.

Just when you think you’ve seen it all, a 25ft statue of Jeff Goldblum appears in front of you. To mark the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park, NowTV has commissioned this artwork of ‘Dr Ian Malcolm’, on display by Tower Bridge, London. It weighs a staggering 150kg and to make it even stranger than it is, NowTV converts it in 48,000 tea bags. Unfortunate for everybody #JurassicJeff retired yesterday evening, but he shall remain in our hearts forever.

KFC – Kittens For Chickens.

On the subject matter of weird and wonderful, KFC has done it again. The brand never seizes to amaze and attract with their crazy promotional ideas. This time around, 700,000 people tuned in to watch cats climbing on an animatronic Colonel Sanders for hours on end. To quote Mr. Sanders, ‘This is NOT a shameless attempt to sell fried chicken by wooing the internet with cute kittens.’ The upside was that the cats were adoptable through the Heaven on Earth Society of Animals in Los Angeles. Catvertising is still alive and strong.

This is how you manipulate Google Images.

Donald is not having a good week. The people are fighting back and they are fighting in style. If you think the giant inflatable Trump baby was too much, activists are now manipulating Google Images. When you type the word “idiot” into Google’s image search, Trump is the first returned result. This is partly because the Green Day song American Idiot was used by protesters to soundtrack his trip to London and also largely due to the popularity of the connotation on Reddit. Front page of Reddit already styles itself as “The front page of the Internet” so Trump doesn’t stand a chance.

Wicked Ways Of The World’s Best Player.

Ronaldo, on the other hand, is having a great week. He lays golden eggs. And in 24 hours, he can lay $60 million worth of golden eggs. Who wouldn’t want him on their team?! Ronaldo’s move from Real Madrid to Juventus was no ordinary transfer. It might have cost the club €112 million, but the return on investment is blooming already. The $60 million in Ronaldo shirt sales was only a warm up. The football club have seen their stock prices soar by nearly 40 per cent, while their social media channels gain 1.5 million new followers in the space of a single day, reaching 6.7 million. Future is looking bright for Juventus.
